These products are wireless thermostat kits that can be placed in any room in your home to control your heating and cooling system.

 The above pictures show three separate residential kits.  The first two kits shown (from the left) are the same except for the number of remote thermostats supplied with the kit.  The picture on the right (WT1119SET) includes a full featured wall mounted (wired) thermostat, and one remote thermostat.  The WT1100 kits can be expanded to include up to a total of four remote thermostats by adding parts (WT1100RF).  WT1119SET is not expandable (e.g. only one remote thermostat can be used).

 If you want the room your are presently in to be 70 degrees, just place the wireless remote thermostat in that room with you and it will ensure that the room stays at a comfortable 70 degrees. This is ideal for rooms where it is important to maintain a constant temperature, like the baby's room. It is also ideal for rooms that experience large temperature fluctuations because of large windows, sun exposure, or for rooms on different levels of your home.

This WT1100SET is expandable with up to 4 wireless thermostats that you can strategically place throughout your home.  The "active" wireless thermostat is the one that was adjusted last (last button press).  For example, you could place one wireless thermostat next to your bed and lower the temperature when you retire for the evening.  When you wake up in the morning, raise the temperature back to a comfortable level without ever getting out of bed.  Place another wireless thermostat in your family room so when you want to "bump" the temperature up or down a degree or two, just reach over to the wireless thermostat on the table an press the up or down arrow button.  It even has a picture frame type stand that swings out and allows the thermostat to sit upright on your table for easy viewing (see picture).

• Install yourself if you are familiar with installing a standard HVAC thermostat.  Just remove your old thermostat from the wall and reconnect the existing wires to the receiver.  The wires are color coded and the instruction booklet has easy to understand pictures.  A toll free technical support line is available if you need some assistance with installing or setting up your thermostat.  If you are not comfortable with a do-it-yourself installation, we recommend that you contact a local HVAC contractor to install the thermostat.  Installation time for a HVAC service technician should not exceed one hour under normal circumstances.
• Designed for use with 24VAC heating/cooling systems.  Not compatible with millivolt or other voltage systems.
• Requires continuous 24VAC power at receiver location.
  • Please note that two thermostat wires are not capable of providing continuous voltage to the receiver, and also operate your HVAC equipment.  If your home has only two thermostat wires (e.g. heat only systems), you can still use this product if you locate the receiver where you are able to provide continuous 24VAC (.2 amps minimum) to the receiver.  The receiver does not sense temperature and therefore does not need to be located in your home's living area.  If your HVAC equipment supplies 24VAC (you can test this with an volt meter across the thermostat wires), locating the receiver near the HVAC equipment will allow you to connect an additional wire to the receiver's Common terminal and therefore provide continuous 24VAC.  Note:  Often home builders install thermostat cable with additional unused wires for future expansion.  If these wires are not being used by your present thermostat, they might be coiled behind the thermostat faceplate or pushed into the wall.  One of these unused wires could be used to supply continuous 24VAC to the receiver at your present thermostat location.  If you are not able to add a common wire to your two-wire system , we now offer a low cost plug-in AC transformer/relay kit that will provide continuous power to the receiver.  The transformer/relay kit plugs into an AC outlet and connects directly to the receiver, allowing the wireless thermostat to work with only two control wires from the HVAC equipment.  Please note that this optional kit will only work if the two thermostat wires are supplying 24VAC power.  If you are interested in purchasing this transformer/relay kit with your wireless thermostat, please inquire about it when you place your order.

Key Features and Specifications (commercial version)

A commercial version is also available.  It has similar features as the residential version WT1100SET described above), with the following differences:

• Program up to 3 occupied periods and one unoccupied period per day. For example, normal business hours (occupied 1), after normal business hours (occupied 2), late in the evening (unoccupied).
• Override timer button on remotes to temporarily override an unoccupied program, forcing the thermostat into an occupied program (e.g. when you work late one evening).  Each press of the override timer button adds 30 minutes (up to 4 hours).  When the override timer expires the thermostat resumes the unoccupied program.
• Dry contact terminals that can be connected to an occupancy sensor to force the thermostat into an unoccupied program when no motion is detected.
• Adjustable fan purge timer to turn on the fan prior to beginning an occupied program to circulate air
• Ability to limit user's control of the thermostat:
  • Program maximum and minimum setpoints that prevents users from changing the setpoint to a temperature outside of the range you established.
  • Prevent users from overriding a programmed schedule.
  • Prevent any setpoint changes by users.
• The appearance and size of the thermostat and receiver is the same as the residential version.
